Try a planning scenario
Change the inputs for a small repair business to see how sales, costs and cash reserve affect the outcome. These are illustrative assumptions.
Make the numbers yours
An illustrative prediction, not a local quote or guaranteed return. These starting assumptions describe a small unit; change them to explore your version. Figures exclude land purchase, income tax and loan repayments.
- Total investment
- ₹3,99,000
- Monthly operating surplus
- ₹37,000
- Operating cash included
- ₹2,49,000
- Sales needed to cover monthly costs
- ₹58,333
Illustrative payback: 11 months at this constant sales level, before tax and finance costs.
How this is calculated
Operating surplus = sales − variable costs − fixed costs. Cash reserve = 3 × monthly operating costs. Investment = setup + cash reserve. Payback = investment ÷ monthly surplus, rounded up. Startup ramp-up and seasonality are not modelled.
